So What’s This Blog About Then?

Well, like all people who are marketing products on the internet I have had it drummed into me that blogging is an excellent way to build a relationship with readers and potential customers. Unfortunately in the past I’ve always said that I’m too busy concentrating on developing products and opportunities to dedicate time to maintaining a blog like this one.
But let’s be honest, most of that reluctance has been down to laziness driven by a perception that, in reality, what could I possibly have to say that would help anyone else out? Interestingly it took reading another blog (The PlanetSMS Blog by John Thornhill – you can find a link on the right) to remind me that everyone that gets into working online or marketing on the Internet has a different experience and even the smallest tidbit that you can glean from someone else can be amazingly helpful.
So with that said I have committed myself to blogging about my experiences and relaying those tidbits that every now and thing I come across in the hope that others will be able to use my insights to help them develop whatever it is they are doing online. Now I am not saying that I’m a guru of any kind or that you are guaranteed to learn something on this blog, what I am saying is that even if you only pick up 1 small piece of advice that will help YOU it will be worth something to me.
Of course, this blog also gives me a soapbox to rant from if I ever need it, and from time to time I must a might to feeling a little frustrated with the whole internet marketing business, and it’ll be interesting to see how many (if any) people out there share these feelings. I’ll do my best to keep positive and lean towards helpful rather than vengeful but if I drop a crazy post in here every now and again feel free to accept my apologies in advance.
